Why do we overthink? Is it a healty habbit? How to deal with it?

Not everyone is the same. Usually those who enjoy the mental activity tend to lose the perception of the reality, while navigating in their own thoughts. When you think, in fact, you are not in the present moment. You tend to identify with the products of your minds, rather than with the interaction of the senses.

A good way to balance the restless mental activity might be that of using your senses to divert from the mind to the surrounding reality.

Another good strategy consists of writing. Because thoughts are chained one to another following a certain pattern we are resposible for while thinking proactively. If we can write down our thoughts this may actually help by realising what are you actually thinking about. You can ask yourself, what am I thinking about?

Now I am thinking about primarily the job I would like to have that will give me economical stability and a purpose. It will give power to rent my own house and potentially live an independent life with my partner wherever I desire.

Now, how do you actually find a job? You need to send a lot of cv out there. Create a network and go physically out to look for partnerships with companies?

When I tell Kaori that I would like to come back to London but that I need to find a temporarely job to pay the rent, it hurts. It hurts my feeeling because I use the fact that I am an engineer to create a bridge with her. The problem is that she pretends from you to have a good job?
